Amanda's love of dance and fitness started at a young age, 3 years old, when her parents' signed her up for her first ballet class. She continued to expand on this love playing various high school sports, acting as Captain of the dance team and completing the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston Dance Education training course. After teaching children's ballet, tap and jazz classes for 3 years in high school, Amanda took a break from teaching and taking formalized dance classes to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Rhode Island.
After being delighted to find Barre classes in her new home state of New Hampshire, Amanda fell in love with the toning as a supplement to her running. Encouraged by her husband, she pursued a certification in Total Barre and began teaching Barre classes. This was followed by a certification in Piloxing Barre, an upbeat cardio pumping and toning class. Her full time job in the healthcare field as a pharmacist for over 5 years and as a professor of pharmacy at MCPHS University is a compliment to the guidance she looks to give her clients on their fitness journey and overall health. As a school teacher and cross country coach, Julie was looking for a complement to her running routine and schedule. In 2010, she tagged along with a friend to try her first yoga class. She found that yoga improved her flexibility and life balance. Over the next few years, she decided to try more group X classes and fell in LOVE with Barre and strength classes.
In 2015 she discovered PiYo -- a FUN fusion of fluid movement, Pilates inspired toning, and yoga stretching. When the opportunity to instruct presented itself she took it! She is AFFA certified, trained in PiYo and received her Balancepoint Barre certification in January 2017.
