Michelle Routhier’s passion for dance and movement began at three years old. She trained with the Granite State Ballet in Nashua, NH where she performed all over New England and was featured in performances of “The Nutcracker,” “Cinderella,” and “Peter and the Wolf.” Her talents were recognized at a young age by the internationally celebrated ballet dancer, David Howard, and she was honored to complete his masterclasses in New Hampshire and New York City. She fell in love with Barre more than a decade ago and found a second home when she joined Barre Chic in 2015. Her eagerness and devotion for the studio as well as her love for her fitness family that was formed within the studio’s doors inspired her to take over ownership of Barre Chic.

Amy began her fitness journey many years ago when she discovered Pilates Reformer and Barre Fitness and instantly fell in love. Her love of fitness continued to grow 2 years ago when she discovered Aerial Yoga and felt a deep connection to this wonderful new way of working out. It was then that Amy experimented with the idea of combining Barre and Pilates with the assistance of the aerial silk hammocks. This is when Barre Chic's Aerial Barre and Aerial Pilates classes were born. Both classes were created and developed by Amy and she continues to expand and grow these classes with our wonderful instructors.

Amy had an established career as a SharePoint Developer and Administrator for a local company while teaching barre and aerial part time. She quickly discovered that dance and fitness were her true passions and she was honored to take over ownership of Barre Chic in April of 2016.

When Amy is at the studio you will most certainly be greeted at the door by her furry little sidekick Jackson. Jackson is our 8lb studio mascot with a HUGE personality! Be sure to give him some back scratches and belly rubs the next time you see him.

Amanda Morrill
Instructor & on-demand instructor

Amanda's love of dance and fitness started at a young age, 3 years old, when her parents signed her up for her first ballet class. She continued to expand on this love playing various high school sports, acting as Captain of the dance team and completing the Dance Teacher's Club of Boston Dance Education training course. After teaching children's ballet, tap and jazz classes for 3 years in high school, Amanda took a break from teaching and taking formalized dance classes to complete her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at the University of Rhode Island.

After being delighted to find Barre classes in her new home state of New Hampshire, Amanda fell in love with the toning as a supplement to her running. Encouraged by her husband, she pursued a certification in Total Barre and began teaching Barre classes. This was followed by a certification in Piloxing Barre, an upbeat cardio pumping and toning class. Her full-time job in the healthcare field as a pharmacist for over 5 years and as a professor of pharmacy at MCPHS University is a compliment to the guidance she looks to give her clients on their fitness journey and overall health.
